ScoreMore

Problem Identified

I took the CAT in 2019 and scored a 99.42 percentile. During the course of the 8 odd months that I spent preparing for the exam, I came to realise that even though there are a lot of coaching institutes and online portals, a lot of students opt for test series from multiple institutes and there does not exist any option currently for students to track all their mock tests and sectionals in one single place and derive any useful insights from them.

Current Scenario

Currently, almost all serious aspirants of the test track their scores in a google sheet or an excel sheet. This is what I had done during my preparation too. But if you look at the data below, you’ll notice how it is very difficult to draw any useful conclusions from this data without prior knowledge of excel and data analytics. And thus, inspite of taking a lot of mock tests, aspirants would be able to see very little improvement and would find it extremely difficult to find any areas of improvement to work upon, thus adding very little value.

Technology Used

CubeIt

Problem Identified

Every summer vacation during school and college, I made it a point to learn something new. During one such vacation, I decided to learn how to solve the Rubik’s cube. I practiced it day and night and finally figured out how to solve it layer by layer (what is called the Beginner Method). After reading about it on the internet I found out that there are various techniques, some much faster than others, using which you can solve the Rubik’s Cube.

I found it a struggle during my days of learning how to solve the puzzle, when I would be stuck at a particular configuration and wasn’t able to solve it. With the quintillion possible combinations, there can’t possibly be a tutorial that allows you to solve your particular combination of the cube.

Developed Solution

This app allows you enter the current config of your cube and choosing a technique by which you want to solve the cube. A solution tailored to helping you solve the exact configuration that you currently have will help you learn how to solve the cube much faster and learn moves which might be optimised for the most efficiency.

Technology Used

Covid Twitter Search

Problem Identified

With a sharp rise in covid cases and a dearth of life saving resources, there was lack of connection between the patients and caregivers who are looking for resources in the form of Beds, Ventilators, Medicines, Oxygen etc and the resource providers. Often times the resources are not made available to the patients in time and this has lead to a huge loss of life and tremendous suffering.

Developed Solution

Twitter is the single most frequently updated crowd sourced platform. A lot of good samaritans go the extent of verifying the sources to make sure that there is no fake news being spread. This web app allows you to select your City/district of residence, the resources that you require and the other key words of your choice and gives you a list of the most recent tweets that have been shared with that information thereby reducing the delay in the resource being delivered to the customer.
